• It is important to have short messages in order to keep the caller's interest. 

• No need to try and say everything in one production.  A good idea is to refresh your on-hold message regularly, taking advantage of seasonal changes, company announcements or special offers.  Callers will have the impression of the constant renewal of your company.

• Short courtesy pauses can also be added to your messages.  These very short messages are a simple way to thank the caller for staying on the line.
